Join Helen Gentile & Lewis Wood in concert at The Royal Welsh Yacht Club, Caernarfon on Wednesday 9th April. Doors 7.30pm for an 8.15pm start.
About the venue:
At 800 years old, The Royal Welsh Yacht Club is the oldest in the world! Set in the medieval-walled town of Caernarfon, its unique position offers breathtaking views over the Menai Strait and the old town, the perfect setting for an evening of folk music.
About the duo:
Helen Gentile & Lewis Wood interweave clarinet and fiddle to perform an evocative set of dance tunes from the balfolk canon. They will perform material from their new, award-nominated album, Violet Sky, including both traditional tunes and their own compositions. Described as “Totally enchanting” (FATEA) and “Absolutely superb” (James Fagan) the duo perform loose, ever-evolving arrangements with a telepathic synergy that allows plenty of space for improvisation and expression.

Parking - There is no parking at the venue (it is 800 years old!) but parking can be found at Slate Quay just up the road and in nearby streets after 7.30pm.
