Overview

Meet and network with other Girl Scouts Overseas volunteers, learn more about your role(s), and prepare for the Girl Scout membership year!

Join USAGSO volunteers and staff from around the world to network and grow into your Girl Scout volunteer position(s). Through a mixture of training sessions, networking opportunities, and of course a little bit of fun, we will all leave the retreat refreshed and ready for an amazing Girl Scout year.

Other notes about the retreat:

• Space is limited, and registration is available on a first come, first served basis.
• This ticket includes three meals, walking tour of Heidelberg, training supplies, t-shirt and more.
• Optional volunteer activities and Friday dinner are available at an additional cost and are not included in the ticket price. Optional Sunday brunch and activities are also available for an additional cost.
• If overnight accommodations are needed, volunteers are responsible for arranging their own lodging. We recommend Premier Inn Heidelberg City Centre, where USAGSO staff will be staying, though you are welcome to stay anywhere in the area. Transportation to and from the event site is the responsibility of each volunteer.
• Please note the hotel charges an additional parking fee. Guests staying there may carpool to the meeting site, and most weekend activities will be accessible by walking or public transportation.
• Please let us know if you plan to stay Friday and/or Saturday night so we can coordinate optional social activities.

Important details about Heidelburg, Germany:

• The closest airport to Heidelberg, Germany, is Mannheim City Airport (MHG), located approximately 9.1 miles (14.7 km) northwest of the city center. Another nearby option is Frankfurt Airport (FRA), which is about 80 kilometers (50 miles) north of Heidelberg and offers extensive international connections. There is also the train and bus as options. You are also free to drive to this retreat yourself as well
• We encourage OCMTs to use community funds to invest in their volunteer's training.
