Book club review of Amanda Ripley's book, "The Unthinkable: who survives when disaster strikes - and why"If you've read it before, please note that on August 20, 2024 she released an ALL NEW revision that addresses the pandemic, the role of social media in disaster responses, and more! So please get the updated version to read before the meeting.
As you know, I've mentioned this book MANY times over the years, because I so strongly believe that it should be an important part of your family's safety plan. The first part is stories about different disasters, like the World Trade Center, Katrina, and airplane crashes. The second part of the book goes into the brain and how it works and how it impacts your fight or flight response.
