Learn how to forage safely and discover the power of connecting with wild plants.
Join this gentle wild food exploration to meet and learn about the common wild edible plants.
You'll hear about their folklore, historical and modern day uses for food and medicine, wild recipe ideas and preservation techniques, and sample Myrtle's handcrafted wild treats.
This walk is suitable for anyone starting out with wild food and for folk wishing to develop their existing foraging knowledge.
This is a gentle walk, up to 2 miles long. Please be in touch if you have any mobility requirements or queries.

• How to correctly and safely identify 10 or more wild edible and toxic plants
• Their folklore, historical and modern day uses for food and medicine
• Sustainable and appropriate harvesting
• How to prepare plants for culinary and medicinal use

• How foraging practice contributes to wellness
• Tasters of handcrafted wild refreshments
The walk is led by professional forager Myrtle Cooper, of Wild & Curious Foraging. Myrtle is passionate about connecting people with the art of foraging. She runs wild food walks and courses and specialises in facilitating a sensory and immersive approach to meeting plants and nature.
