Shane and Meagan Kunnanz are the husband-and-wife team behind Fiberglass Specialties and Hot Switch Heating Systems, two innovative businesses based in Minot, North Dakota.
In 2017, they acquired Fiberglass Specialties, a company Meagan’s parents had owned since 2001. The business originally specialized in manufacturing fiberglass switch heater covers but expanded around 2008 to produce high-quality fiberglass storage tanks and insulated buildings for the oil and gas, agriculture, and industrial markets.
In 2023, they further grew their business by acquiring Hot Switch Heating Systems. Hot Switch revolutionized rail maintenance with its advanced induction heating system designed specifically for heating rail switches, improving efficiency and reliability in harsh winter conditions.
With a strong commitment to innovation and quality, Shane and Meagan have built businesses that serve customers nationwide while contributing to the local economy in Minot. Their entrepreneurial journey is a testament to hard work, adaptability, and the drive to create better solutions for their industries.
Shane and Meagan have deep roots in Minot, where they have lived for many years and continue to live while raising their two children, Georgie and Gunner.
