Join us for a family-friendly afternoon of food, fun, and community conversation!
Nothing changes if nothing changes, and it starts with showing up for each other. Whether you are bringing your own secret chili recipe or coming to judge the best pot in town, your participation directly supports our campaign for an independent voice for Washington County Commissioner.
Date & Time: September 20th 1PM-4PM
Location: 227 N Prospect Street (Event is in the parking lot toward the rear of the building. On street parking available)
Environment: 100% Family-Friendly (No alcohol served)
Event Schedule
1:00 p.m. – Doors Open | Registration
1:30 p.m. – Chili Tasting & Connect-working
2:30 p.m. – Voting
3:00 p.m. – Sponsor & Volunteer Recognition
3:10 p.m. – Brief Candidate Remarks from Taj Smith
3:20 p.m. – Chili Winner Announced
3:30 p.m. – Fundraising Appeal & Contribution Challenge
4:00 p.m. – Event Concludes
Ticket & Entry Options
Chili Competitor Entry ($15):
Bring your best crockpot of chili to compete! Includes 1 general admission taster wristband, 1 voting ballot, and 1 drink (soda or water).
Adult Taster Ticket – Ages 12+ ($25):
Includes samples of each chili entry, 1 bowl of favorite chili, 1 official voting ballot, and 1 soda or water.
Youth Under 11 and under are Free (2 per paid adult, additional children $5)
Free entry with a paid adult admission. We will have a separate Youth Choice ballot.
Donated Ticket ($25)
Can't make it but would like to provide an opportunity for someone to attend who cannot afford a ticket.

All proceeds from ticket sales, competitor fees, and sponsorships directly fund campaign activities for Taj Smith for Washington County Commissioner. Under state election rules, ticket purchases and event sponsorships count as political contributions. There will be no cash award. Winners of Cookoff will receive a medal, campaign t-shirt, bumper sticker, & button.
