Heat-Transfer Viny with Danielal: DIY Tote Bags COAST Swansea Council
About this Event
Discover the creative possibilities of heat-transfer vinyl (HTV) and design your own personalised tote bag in this fun and beginner-friendly workshop.
Heat-transfer vinyl is a thin material that can be cut into different shapes and designs using a vinyl cutter and bonded to fabric with heat and pressure. This is a popular technique for customising clothing, bags, accessories and home textiles, offering endless opportunities to create unique, long-lasting designs.
During this 2-hour workshop, you’ll be guided through the complete process of designing and producing your own custom tote bag. Starting with your own ideas, you’ll create a simple design using either friendly digital design software or by hand.
You’ll learn how to prepare your design for a vinyl cutter to produce your heat-transfer vinyl design.
Along the way, you’ll gain an introduction to digital design, learn the basics of using a vinyl cutter, and discover how Heat-Transfer Vinyl can be used for future creative projects.
Whether you want to make something practical, express your creativity, or simply try a new making technique, you’ll leave with a unique tote bag and the confidence to continue exploring the process.
This workshop is perfect for anyone curious about digital design, crafting, or learning a new creative skill in a relaxed environment.
No previous experience is required, and all tools and materials will be provided.
