When childhood friends Elliot, Peter and Burke reunite after college to run a food truck, their attempts to rekindle their old dynamic is foiled by what has changed. As old resentments bubble up and new secrets spill out, they are each forced to reveal the innermost part of themselves they never wished to share.
HEAT is a story of grief, vulnerability, and chosen family.

HEAT is a show that contains potentially distressing themes, including reference to suicide and sexual violence.

IRT Theater is a grassroots laboratory for independent theater and performance in New York City, providing space and support to a new generation of artists. Tucked away in the old Archive Building in Greenwich Village, IRT’s mission is to build a community of emerging and established artists by creating a home for the development and presentation of new work.
