HEAT: Poetry Short Films Screening

HEAT presents a collection of experimental visual poems that burn with the heat of the summer sun in Leo, submerging you in stories about tender mothers and (ex) lovers, devotion and loss, midnight sun, and smoke.

From polished short films to scrappy iPhone edits and everything in-between, this diverse lineup takes us within and without the blazing landscapes of earth and spirit, embacing destructive rituals and heat wave hallucinations through sensations of cool sweat, dry mouth, heart beat, combustion.

Ticketed entry includes admission to live music performances at Ornithology Jazz Club, which will take place from ~6:30pm~11:59pm.

Order of presentation is not final, and is subject to change. Times are approximate and screenings may begin a few minutes ahead or behind schedule.

Proceeds support fee waivers for artists with financial need to attend "An Ocean of Our Own", a weeklong micro-residency in Falmouth, MA hosted by Katya Borkov of Everything Spills Studio.
