Join us at The Loading Dock for Heat Above with special guest New Troy — a night of emotionally charged alternative rock, infectious melodies, and unforgettable live performances.Headlining the evening is Heat Above, a genre-blending trio from just outside Flint, Michigan, crafting emotionally immersive rock built to move people — on their feet and in their feelings. With provocative lyrics, magnetic stage presence, and a sound that shifts effortlessly between high-energy rock, punk urgency, danceable grooves, and introspective moments, the band has carved out a distinct place in the Michigan music scene and beyond.
Opening the night is New Troy, an explosive alternative/indie rock band made up of brothers and cousins Max & Sam Carlson and Aidan & Rowan Kile. Since forming in late 2024, New Troy has quickly earned recognition for their energetic live shows, dynamic songwriting, and impressive musicianship. With performances at venues like The Pyramid Scheme, Delandapalooza, and Park Theater — along with four releases already in 2025 — the band continues to establish themselves as one of Michigan’s rising rock acts.

More About Heat Above:
Formed in 2021, Heat Above — Brady Lott (vocals/guitar), Jack Davis (bass), and Jalon Swinton (drums) — has built a loyal following through dynamic performances at venues like The Crofoot, The Machine Shop, and The Blind Pig.
In 2023, the band released their debut album, Tell Me How to Feel, which has since surpassed 600,000 streams. That same year, they opened for Charlotte Sands, Yam Haus, Telescreens, and Josh Abbott Band, further cementing their reputation as a band to watch.
In 2024, Heat Above was selected to showcase at the National Association for Campus Activities (NACA) in Pittsburgh, leading to university performances across the country including stops in Kansas, Ohio, Texas, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Wisconsin. Alongside their touring schedule, they’ve performed at festivals throughout Michigan and Illinois and completed a residency at Cedar Point. The band also co-headlined Flint’s historic Capitol Theatre — sharing the stage legacy of acts like The Ramones, Ray Charles, and Rage Against the Machine.
Looking ahead to 2026, Heat Above has already released two new singles and plans to continue rolling out new music throughout the year. With momentum continuing to build, the band remains committed to delivering unforgettable live performances and offering listeners a thought-provoking escape through music.
PARKING INFO:
Parking for The Loading Dock is accessed via Front Street in downtown Buchanan. The main lot is on the west side of the event building, between the duck pond and The Loading Dock.
The overflow lot is to the north, past Chunk’s Ice Cream. Refer to parking map provided for further information and details.
The City of Buchanan also has several public lots available for event parking.
The parking lot next to Citgo to the south of The Loading Dock is not event parking for The Loading Dock.
