L’EP d’esordio di Heartworms, A Comforting Notion, ha ottenuto recensioni entusiastiche da testate come NME e DIY, che lo hanno premiato con 5 stelle. I singoli Retributions Of An Awful Life e Consistent Dedication hanno attirato l’attenzione della stampa internazionale (The FADER, Dazed, The Sunday Times, So Young, CLASH, ecc.) e sono stati trasmessi da BBC Radio 6 Music, Radio X, BBC Radio 1 e Apple Music 1.
Sul palco, Heartworms è un’esplosione di forza, controllo e teatralità, in aperto contrasto con gli stereotipi sulla fragilità femminile. La sua estetica rigorosa e il sound post-punk sono influenzati da Interpol, Kraftwerk e PJ Harvey, mentre la sua ispirazione lirica affonda nella poesia di Pound, Thomas e Keats. È anche appassionata di storia militare e volontaria al Royal Air Force Museum di Hendon.
