Heartwaves 2.0 - Dancing with Grief

We are back with Hearwaves 2.0 - Dancing with Grief. This is a sacred gathering where we honor, express, and transform grief through the healing power of movement and cacao. This journey offers a space to connect deeply with yourself, your emotions, and the wisdom of your heart as you dance through the waves of loss and love allowing your body to process emotions that words cannot always reach.

Beginning with a heart-opening cacao ceremony, the spirit of this sacred plant medicine nurtures you as it guides you into softening, surrendering, and feeling fully. Through a carefully curated musical journey, you will be guided into an embodiment practice that transitions into an ecstatic dance journey, inviting you to move through swells of sorrow, remembrance, and catharsis, ultimately arriving at a place of release and renewal. 

Whether you are grieving a loved one, a past version of yourself, or the world's collective pain,  this is a space to feel, express, and alchemize your emotions through movement—whether gentle or wild, still or flowing, all forms of expression are welcome.

What to Expect:

Together, we will create a ritual of remembrance, release, and transformation—allowing the dance to be our medicine and the cacao to be our guide. Come as you are, and let the music carry you.

Please bring memoirs, photos of loved ones who have transitioned, your ancestors, pictures of yourself if you are grieving past versions of you, etc as we will create a collective grief altar to honor the ones we love.

This is a closed container so please arrive early to ensure you make it on time.

Meet your Facilitators:

Soraya is a devoted Death Midwife and Grief Embodiment Guide, passionately holding space for those navigating the sacred thresholds of life and death. With a nursing background and a heart-centered approach to death care, Soraya blends medical knowledge with a deep spiritual presence, offering compassionate support to the dying and their loved ones. Through ritual, presence, and holistic guidance, she assists others in embracing grief as a transformative force, honoring both loss and love with tenderness and reverence. Rooted in the belief that death is a gateway to profound healing and rebirth, she walks alongside the grieving, the dying, and those shedding old versions of themselves, guiding them toward peace and acceptance.

Serpentine Salua is an ecstatic dance DJ bridging tribal, indigenous sounds with electronic, downtempo wubs for the ultimate sonic alchemy experience. She was born and raised in Colombia and is influenced by her ancestral roots.  She has been facilitating ceremonies for the last few years with cacao and other plant medicines. She sees sound, vibration, music, and movement as a powerful ceremony.   She appreciates how music can take us into an inner journey and a space of authentic movement. She believes music has monumental healing potential to bring balance, integration, acceptance, and inspiration for all that is present within us. Salua's intention is to take people on a journey of different soundscapes that elicit emotion and provide an elixir for the soul. She is inspired and selects songs by artists like Mose, Porangui, SAVEJ, Of The Trees, Liquid Bloom and more.
