Hearts & Paddles
About this Event
In collaboration with the Cameron Institute, the Kawasaki Kids Foundation, Town Nights, and Cal Women's Basketball, we are excited to invite the Bay Area community to Play with Heart, a Pickleball tournament and block party benefitting the Kawasaki Kids Foundation. This free community celebration brings together people of all ages and skill levels for an evening of pickleball, music, food, games, and connection, all while raising awareness and support for Kawasaki disease.
Whether you're competing in the pickleball tournament, learning the game for the first time, meeting Cal student-athletes, or simply enjoying the block party, every participant plays a role in supporting an important cause. 100% of event proceeds benefit the Kawasaki Kids Foundation, helping advance research, education, and awareness for children and families affected by Kawasaki disease.
Founded by Cal Women's Basketball student-athlete Mjracle Sheppard, this event was inspired by her personal connection to Kawasaki disease and her desire to use sport as a platform to educate, give back, and bring the community together. Check out the event landing page here.
