About this Event

Join Us for Week 2 of the Heart to Heart Series: The Power of Intentions on the Heart

The Heart to Heart Series begins with one of the most essential foundations of our faith: the heart.

In this session, we explore one of the most foundational aspects of spiritual growth: our intentions (niyyah). Intentions shape the heart and guide our actions — when our intentions are pure, our deeds become meaningful; when they are not, even good actions can lose their impact. This week invites attendees to reflect on their motives, purify their intentions, and strengthen the connection between heart, mind, and actions.

Speakers:
  • Imam Abdullah Kalantan
Community imam, educator, and PhD researcher in Public Health, combining Islamic knowledge with practical spiritual guidance.
  • Br. Abdullah Alacozai
A successful entrepreneur and community facilitator based in Auckland, Abdullah is the Founder and Managing Director of Verum Digital. Alongside his professional achievements, he has years of experience facilitating halaqahs and community learning circles, combining practical life skills with Islamic guidance. Known for his relatable and grounded approach, Abdullah helps attendees connect faith and everyday life.

What We’ll Explore:
  • Understanding the Heart’s Role in Intentions
  • Recognising and Purifying Hidden Motives
  • Setting Daily Intentions for Worship, Work, and Relationships
