This purpose of this race is to bring together the hospital and community and to highlight heart month. We want to emphasize health, wellness, and the importance of heart health. We want to increase awareness of the heart related services available at our facility. We hope that this race will become an annual community event! We will have providers on site to speak with you on race day! All proceeds benefit the Lenoir Memorial Foundation. Additionally, runners are encouraged to run in honor of someone dealing with heart related diagnoses or in memory of someone lost to heart related diagnoses. We will have in honor/in memory stickers for participants to wear during their run. We will have red ribbons for participants as well. Runners are also encouraged to adorn themselves in heart month colors, or heart themed costumes and to enter for a chance to win in spirit categories!
Registration Fees:
-5k - $35
-1-Mile Fun Run - $25
Awards/Race Categories:
-Top 3 Overall Male and Female
-Top Male and Female in each category: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+
Prizes will also be given for spirit awards for individuals and teams with the best heart themed costumes. Swag bag gifts for all runners.
Giveaway:
T-shirts for participants registered by January 30th.
