Heart Space: Los Angeles - Healing Across Generations

Heart Space is a healing circle that provides a space for Black folks to decompress and connect.

The world is on fire. But our communities have legacies and strategies for healing that we have to re-engage and remember. Wisdom Across Generations is a healing circle where elders and younger generations come together to exchange stories, lessons, and insights on emotional well-being, resilience, and community care. Through guided discussions participants will explore the ways our ancestors navigated hardship, found joy, and built pathways for healing.

About the venue: Black Being is a community-based nonprofit organization making the healing of Black people its focus – as an embodied declaration of our inherent worthiness. Their work adamantly prioritizes the wellbeing, lived experiences, leadership, wisdom, and power of Black people in Los Angeles through trauma-conscious practices, programs, and events.

We encourage our community to be mindful of engaging in-person events with safety and communal responsibility in mind. We recognize that the pandemic is not over and many members of our community are immunocompromised. We strongly encourage the use of masks. Please do not attend the event if you are feeling ill. COVID tests and face masks will be available on site.

At BEAM we believe in offering folks options to be in community with us, recognizing that everyone may be at a different financial capacity. Please refer to the descriptions below to determine what ticket type is best for you.

Complimentary tickets - are for our community members who frankly just ain't got it but are ready and willing to be in the space with others. There's a limited amount and once claimed they are complete for the event.

Donation is the next tier - where you can pay what you can and there's suggested pricing.

General admission - are regularly priced tickets for the type of event.
