About this Event

Full Description

Join Erica Wood and Elleni Woods for an intimate evening of cacao ceremony, movement, and breathwork - designed to help you arrive fully in your body and meet this Lion's Gate portal with intention.

Lion's Gate acts as a catalyst, a current that moves things and speeds things up. Together, in community, we have the opportunity to raise our collective consciousness, supporting not only our own evolution but the evolution of the collective, and aligning more fully with our soul's purpose.

This is a container to release old energies and outdated versions of ourselves that no longer align with who we truly are. Here, we support you in feeling your own expansive energy - moving, releasing, and attuning to your alignment, inside and out. A space to feel more joy, more freedom, and to support you in clearing what's ready to go.

Cacao Contraindications

Ceremonial cacao contains natural stimulants (theobromine and caffeine) and can be very heart-opening and energetically potent. For your safety, please avoid drinking cacao — or consult your doctor beforehand — if you have any of the following:

  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • Heart conditions, including arrhythmia, heart disease, or history of heart attack
  • Severe or uncontrolled hypertension
  • Currently taking MAOIs (monoamine oxidase inhibitors)
  • Currently taking SSRIs or other medications for anxiety or depression (please consult your prescribing doctor, as cacao can interact with these medications)
  • Sensitivity to caffeine or stimulants
  • Any condition affecting the heart or blood pressure

If any of the above applies to you, you're welcome to still attend the ceremony and take part in movement, breathwork, and sound — simply let us know beforehand so we can offer you a smaller portion or an alternative.

Breathwork Contraindications

Breathwork is a powerful practice that can bring up strong physical, emotional, and energetic experiences. For your safety, please do not participate in the breathwork portion of this ceremony — and consult your doctor beforehand — if you have any of the following:

  • Pregnancy
  • Severe or uncontrolled hypertension (particularly following a heart attack)
  • Cardiovascular conditions, including heart disease, arrhythmia, or irregular heartbeat
  • Pacemaker
  • Epilepsy or seizure disorders
  • Aneurysm or history of stroke
  • Organ failure or late-stage/terminal illness
  • Severe or critical diseases or infections that impair your ability to breathe
  • Severe asthma or COPD
  • Glaucoma or detached retina
  • Osteoporosis or recent fractures/surgery
  • Recent surgery or physical injury

Exception: if you have epilepsy, a pacemaker, or an irregular heartbeat, you may still participate only with specific written permission from your doctor.

Caution — please inform your facilitator if you have:

  • Tinnitus or hernias (forceful mouth breathing, breath holds, and rapid/intense breathing may aggravate these conditions)
  • Psychiatric conditions, including a history of psychosis, bipolar disorder, or severe PTSD
  • Currently taking medications for anxiety, depression, or other psychiatric conditions (please consult your prescribing doctor, as breathwork can significantly alter your state)

Please note: If you are unsure whether breathwork is safe for you, check with your healthcare provider before attending.
