Heart of Nidra: Yoga Nidra Workshop
Advertisement
An introduction to Yoga Nidra, the yogic practice of conscious rest.
Learn the roots, purpose, and foundational principles of Yoga Nidra in a clear, accessible, and embodied way.
2.5 hours of learning, practice, and integration with Anouk and Daniele.
Yoga Nidra sits within the meditative heart of yoga, offering a systematic method of guided rest that supports nervous system regulation, deep restoration, and self-inquiry. Traditionally rooted in tantric philosophy, this practice invites us into a state between waking and sleeping where awareness remains present as the body rests.
In this 2.5 hour special workshop, we will explore the origins and philosophy of Yoga Nidra, its place within the wider yogic path, and how it has been practised and transmitted over time. Through guided experience and thoughtful discussion, you will learn how Yoga Nidra works, why it is such a powerful therapeutic tool, and how to approach the practice safely and sustainably.
This workshop is designed for curious practitioners, yoga students, and teachers who wish to understand Yoga Nidra beyond simply “lying down and relaxing.”
Expect discussion, guided practice, rest, and space for reflection and questions.
No prior meditation or yoga experience required.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:
Brief historical perspective and philosophical roots of Yoga Nidra
Understanding the states of consciousness and the subtle body
The structure and stages of a traditional Yoga Nidra practice
Working with body awareness, breath, sensation, and sankalpa
The science of deep rest and nervous system regulation
Integration and reflection
How to incorporate Yoga Nidra into personal practice
Opportunity for discussion and questions
2 hours of guided learning and practice followed by 30 minutes for connection and questions.
Light refreshments will be provided.
