This class is an ecstatic dance inspired guided movement meditation class. Pulling from ancient movement traditions rooted in Indigenous, African, and Eastern lineages, ecstatic dance has long served as a sacred, communal practice. A way to grieve, celebrate, pray, and purge. In this space, we honor those roots while creating a modern altar for your softening, remembrance and returning home to self. This class, unlike its wilder cousin Somatic & Soul Movement, will honor the medicine of slowness, softness, and spiraling return. Through breath-led movement, somatic stillness, and rhythmic repetition, we invite the body to remember its safety, its voice, and its connection to Earth. This session is slow, grounding, heart-opening, and deeply restorative. It’s for those who are ready to come home to their own nervous systems and reclaim what was lost or stolen through performance, trauma, and disconnection.

Intention: To regulate, root, soothe, and reawaken the body’s innate wisdom and rhythm. This is a space to be held, not hurried. A space for grief, softness, pleasure, and embodied truth. All bodies, backgrounds, and movement styles are welcome. No dance experience needed—just bring your curiosity, an open mind, and a willingness to move.
