Heart for the Holidays 2026 – Free Family Event

Last November, families from all over Lubbock filled the parking lot at The Condra School. We served hot meals and sent families home with Thanksgiving food. Kids got free screenings, took photos with Santa and made flower arrangements to take home. A great time was had, and we've been thinking about it ever since.
Heart for the Holidays is back for a second year, and we're hoping to welcome even more families this time.
Everything is free:
• Hot meals
• Food from the South Plains Food Bank mobile pantry
• Photos with Santa
• Coats for families, thanks to KSSL
• Live holiday music by Cathy Jewell
• Kids' corner
• Free dyslexia screenings
• Make an arrangement at the East Lubbock Art House table
No sign-up and no cost. Bring the whole family. Food is served while supplies last. If you'd like to let us know you're coming, RSVP at unolbk.org/heart-for-the-holidays
Volunteers: sign up at unolbk.org/volunteer. No experience needed, we'll show you what to do.
Businesses, churches and groups: we're still welcoming partners. You can donate food, turkeys or grocery gift cards, host a collection box, or send your team to serve. Call (432) 202-7477 | [email protected]
