In business, best practices can only get us so far. Scripture is the foundation for everything Christians believe and live by—it reveals God’s nature, His ways, and His will. Yet while the Bible provides eternal truth, there are moments when leaders face specific situations that require direction beyond general principles.

Throughout Scripture, God not only revealed truth but also spoke into real-time circumstances—providing wisdom, strategy, and solutions tailored to the moment. He gave Joseph insight to interpret Pharaoh’s dream and design a plan that saved nations from famine (Genesis 41:33–57). Jesus directed Peter, an experienced fisherman, exactly where to cast his nets after a night of failure, resulting in overwhelming provision (Luke 5:1–7). God gave Jacob an unconventional strategy that caused his flocks to multiply, leading to prosperity and influence (Genesis 30:43).

These accounts show that while God’s Word is our foundation, His voice provides application—helping His people know what to do, when to do it, and how to respond in complex situations.

Hearing God in the Marketplace is a six-session course designed to help Christians learn how to recognize God’s voice, discern His activity in the marketplace, and apply spiritual insight to real-world business and leadership decisions.

This is the believer’s advantage.

Participants will learn how to recognize God’s voice in the context of work, understand what He is doing in the marketplace, and apply heavenly wisdom to earthly challenges. The course focuses on practical application—helping business owners, professionals, and leaders receive insight, strategy, and direction that impacts organizations, teams, customers, and culture.

This course equips participants to:

• Hear God with confidence in business and leadership settings
• Discern what God is doing in the marketplace and align accordingly
• Receive creative solutions to complex problems
• Gain insight for innovation, strategy, and new ideas
• Lead others with spiritual clarity and wisdom in everyday work

This is a cohort-based learning experience designed for Christians who want to integrate faith, discernment, and leadership in the marketplace.

Michael John is an entrepreneur and senior leader with more than two decades of experience building teams, casting vision, and creating lasting impact in both business and ministry. He currently serves as a Regional Executive Director of Operations for the largest employee care service provider in the marketplace, leading teams that support nearly 150 businesses across Southern Virginia and Northern North Carolina.

Alongside his wife, Michael also operates a thriving education business that has served families in their community for over 23 years. His background includes launching small businesses, holding executive roles in global organizations, pastoral leadership, and international ministry work across the Middle East and South Asia. Michael’s passion is helping people hear God’s voice clearly for their lives, leadership, and spheres of influence—equipping them to walk confidently in purpose and impact the marketplace with spiritual clarity.

Joseph Perry is a marketplace leader and former pastor of over 20 years, and the co-founder and president of the Virginia Christian Chamber of Commerce | CoVA. He has spent more than two decades equipping leaders across church and marketplace settings, with a focus on helping believers integrate faith, discernment, and leadership in everyday work.

Joseph began conducting prophetic workshops nearly 15 years ago. He helps Christians learn to hear God’s voice and apply spiritual insight to real-world business and leadership decisions.
