Healthy Kids Day® 2026 at the Valley Shore YMCA is a FREE community event all about keeping kids active, engaged, and thriving!Bring the whole family to the Valley Shore YMCA on Saturday, May 30th from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM for an afternoon packed with hands-on fun, movement, and community connection.
We’re turning the Y into a kid-powered adventure zone featuring:
• Petting Zoo with Carly’s Critters LLC
• Meet a Pony with High Hopes Therapeutic Riding
• Old Saybrook Fire Department truck visit
• Westbrook Police Department
• Rock Climbing
• Eye Screenings with the Essex Lions Club
• Bouncy Slide
• Games, snacks, and more surprises
This event is free and open to the public, so invite your friends, neighbors, and anyone looking for a fun, active way to kick off the summer season.
We’ll also be collecting donations for the Shoreline Soup Kitchens & Pantries, so if you’re able, consider bringing a non-perishable item to support local families.
At the Y, we believe healthy kids build strong communities—and this day is all about celebrating that together.
