About this Event

Let’s chat about…what you always wanted to know about death and dying but didn’t dare ask.

Do you have questions about death and dying? Questions like...Can I die at home? What are the practicalities of dying? Can I take my loved one home after they die in hospital? What is the process of dying look like? What can I do now to make sure that I have a say in how I die and afterwards? What are the legal issues? What if my family don’t agree and/or there is conflict?

Have you felt that you would like to know more information and/or specifics but have been too reluctant to ask? Or have you not known who to ask?

Then this free seminar, organised by Sutherland Shire Libraries in partnership with the Healthy Ageing Hub and South East Sydney Local Health District, is for you.

Our guest panellists will include:

• Kim Somerville – End-of-life Doula

• Dr Hayley Worth – Palliative Medicine Physician

• Joanna McIlveen – The BEACON Project Lead - SESLHD

• Dr Linda Sheahan- Clinical Ethics Consultant SESLHD

Join us for a gentle and informal but empowering facilitated discussion.

Please be aware of the following:

• Bookings are required (each person needs a ticket)

• Morning tea provided
