On Wednesday, October 1, 2025, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., you are invited to participate in our Healthiest State Walk at Kiwanis Park (4223 Greenbrier Drive), where the City of Bettendorf’s Parks & Recreation Department is hosting the event for the 15th Annual Healthiest State Walk, part of the Iowa Healthiest State Initiative.
During this special two-hour event, the community can take a stroll on one of Bettendorf’s beautiful trails and check out several special features along the way:
• NEW IN 2025: The Bettendorf Public Library, Bettendorf Parks & Recreation Department, and Parks Maintenance Division have partnered to create a StoryWalk that allows you to stop and read one page of a book as you circle the path surrounding Kiwanis Park (funded by the Bettendorf Public Library Foundation)
• Get a SNEAK PEEK inside some Bettendorf Public Works vehicles
• HANG OUT with Bettendorf Police Officers and Firefighters
• PLAY GAMES with the Bettendorf Parks & Recreation Department, Bettendorf Public Library, and the Family Museum
• Learn how to PLAY PICKLEBALL with the Quad Cities Pickleball Club
“The Healthiest State Walk is a great way to get the family outdoors and enjoy one of our amazing neighborhood parks,” said John Byrnes, Parks & Recreation Director. “Kiwanis Park has been recently updated and is an incredible venue to host a fun event for the whole family.”
