Canine Genetics Laboratory, University of Missouri, Columbia MO
The University of Missouri Canine Genetics Laboratory was established to identify the molecular genetic basis of inherited disorders in dogs and to develop DNA screening tests to be used by both breeders and veterinarians.Since its founding, the University of MO Canine Genetics Laboratory has identified over 70 disease-causing mutations in numerous dog breeds. One project currently underway is the search for the mutation responsible for Scottie Cramp.
