Health Equity Forum: Vitiligo Awareness, Access & Action
About this Event
Join patient advocates, healthcare professionals, and policy leaders for a discussion on the medical realities of vitiligo and the need for equitable access to treatment. Although vitiligo is a chronic autoimmune disease that affects an estimated 3.7 million Americans, many patients continue to face barriers to care because treatments are often viewed as cosmetic rather than medically necessary. This event will explore the physical, emotional, and social impact of vitiligo, highlight gaps in insurance coverage, and discuss opportunities for policymakers and insurers to improve access to evidence-based care.
