Join wisdom carrier Erika Gagnon in this healing talk that focuses on traditional wisdom & ceremonies of the “Americas”, plant medicines, sacred altars, ancestral lineage, and the origins of dis-ease in our physical, mental & spiritual bodies and how to transform and transmute them. You will also receive personal healing practices you can incorporate directly into your daily life. You are your greatest healer and greatest medicine, and we will examine what this means in the context of our modern daily lives as we share healing wisdom and practices together. This is your opportunity to transform trauma and unhealthy patterns, and to realign your body, mind, spirit, and soul. You will also have the optional opportunity to participate in a traditional Liquid ceremony from Tobacco South America called "Singada", where we will work with the sacred medicine of the Nicotina Rustica, commonly known as "Mapacho". Tobacco is one of the most powerful native plant spirits, which is also why it is one of the most abused & colonized plant medicines on the planet and should only be used with deep respect and healing intention. This is your opportunity to work with Tobacco in a sacred manner.
This medicine will help heal, cleanse and release old blockages, unhealthy patterns, memories and traumas. It offers clarity, balance and grounding, as it helps to re-align the body, mind, spirit & soul. You can decide to participate once you have heard the talk and the cermony instructions.
Please bring any sacred items for our altar, including photographs of loved ones and ancestors, sacred objects that have meaning for you, and a journal to write in.

Erika believes that a healer does not heal others but helps others to heal themselves. She is often asked if she is a shaman or a medicine woman, or a wisdom keeper. Her reply? A shaman is a specific healing lineage from Mongolia and Siberia. “Wisdom carrier” is more appropriate than “keeper,” and the term “medicine woman” is extremely overused.
Born in Canada, she honors all of the ancestors of her mixed-race heritage but does not identify as First Nations. The wisdom and ceremonies she carries come from her 30 year walk on a medicine path and Red Road. She has dedicated half her life to working with Indigenous elders from North and South America and their ancestral ceremonies, medicinal plants, and altars.
Erika is honored to have received their blessings to continue their traditions with honor, dignity, and respect. She leads temazcal (sweat lodge), tobacco, water blessing, other healing ceremonies, and personal healing sessions.

Erika embraces the tradition of the gift economy and reciprocity. Her compensation will be donation based: at the end of the workshop, all participants are encouraged to make a personal financial donation which reflects your feelings of gratitude and reciprocity for this offering, helps cover travel & expenses and helps to support Erika's ongoing work to bring healing spaces and ceremonies to others.
No one will be turned down for lack of funds. Please note that the organizers are collecting a small ticket fee to ensure the venue will have your seat (cushion) reserved and naturally you can deduct this from your donation amount.
