Mother Nation’s 3rd Healing Together gathering on May 28, 2026 will serve as our national day of awareness and action on the tragedies Indigenous families continue to face and the ongoing crisis of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Relatives (MMIR) in Seattle, Washington, and across Indian Country.Mother Nation's MMIR Healing Together Gathering, honors victims, supports affected families, and calls for the systemic changes needed to address the crisis and close the justice gap.
This year, we welcome guest speakers from the MMIR community who support families' searches across Indian Country. In addition, families will join us to share stories of their loved ones, honoring their experiences and amplifying their voices.
We will close the event with a round dance and singers, bringing our families and guests together to honor our teachings of community, lift one another up, and help release the heaviness of the day.
