About this Event
Founded in 1988 by Jody Allen and the late Paul G. Allen, cofounder of Microsoft, Allen Family Philanthropies (AFP) invests in arts and culture, youth development, and the environment across the Pacific Northwest and around the globe. Previously known as the Paul G. Allen Family Foundation, AFP’s philosophy for its three program areas is rooted in the belief that all three merge to contribute to a healthy, thriving community.
Like all of you, AFP is facing various challenges in both the philanthropic sector and specific to its program areas. But we find hope in the power of connection: forging deeper connections with partners, colleagues, neighbors, and friends in ways that make us all better, stronger, and more connected. When more of us come together and play a part in the places we live and work, we create the foundation for collective wellbeing where creativity, future generations, and nature can flourish.
In the spirit of fostering connections, AFP is excited to partner with ComNetwork Seattle to host a networking happy hour at the foundation offices in Chinatown/ID in late May.
At the event, we’ll kick things off with brief remarks from Jason Hunke, the foundation’s vice president of communications and long-time Communications Network member, and hear from Lara Littlefield, AFP’s executive director. Then there will be plenty of time for forging connections with ComNetwork Seattle members and foundation staff over drinks and snacks.
RSVPs open now through Wednesday, May 20 EOD.
