About this Event
Healing the Healers: Approaches to Gun Violence Exposure and Recovery
Join us for a special event focused on supporting those who have been impacted by gun violence. This in-person gathering will take place at Carthage College's Wartburg Theater. Learn about different approaches to healing and recovery, connect with others who share similar experiences, and gain valuable insights from experts in the field. Together, we can work towards healing and resilience in the face of trauma. This event will culminate with a performance of Terminal Exhale, a world-premiere play based on gripping interviews with frontline healthcare workers who treat gun violence victims on a daily basis.
This event is free of charge due to the generous support from the Carthage College Nursing Department, Everytown for Gun Safety in America, the 80% Coalition, and the Carthage College Theater and Social Work Departments. Registration is required and dinner is included.
