About this Event
Join me, the rooted twigg, for an immersive evening that intertwines the ancient traditions of Día de los Muertos with the soothing practices of restorative yoga and sound healing. Through gentle movement, deep relaxation, and harmonic soundscapes, we will create a sacred space to honor our ancestors, reflect on the cycle of life, and connect with the spirit world.
This transformative event is designed to allow you to release stress, open your heart, and channel the healing power of sound while celebrating the beauty of life and death.
Event Flow:
💀Welcome & Intention Setting (15 mins) Upon entering the space, participants are invited to place a photo or memento of a loved one who has passed on an ofrenda (altar) adorned with traditional Día de los Muertos decorations (candles, marigolds, skulls).
A brief introduction to the significance of Día de los Muertos and the importance of honoring ancestors.
Participants are guided through setting a personal intention for the session, focusing on healing, connection, and gratitude.
Restorative Yoga Session (45 mins)
🧡A gentle, slow-paced restorative yoga class with long-held, supported poses to facilitate deep relaxation.
The practice is designed to release physical tension and calm the nervous system, allowing participants to enter a meditative state.
Poses can be grounding and heart-opening to symbolize the connection between the physical and spiritual worlds.
Sound Healing Journey (30-45 mins)
🕯️ The yoga session seamlessly transitions into a sound healing experience using instruments like alchemy crystal singing bowls, an ocean drum, koshi chimes, and a tingshaa bell.
The sound bath can be curated to include harmonious vibrations that align with the energy of Día de los Muertos—focusing on transformation, rebirth, and honoring the sacred journey of the soul.
Participants remain in a meditative, restful state, allowing the healing frequencies to clear energetic blockages, enhance emotional release, and create space for connection with the spirit world
Reflection & Journaling (15 mins)
🫖 Participants are given time for silent reflection, journaling their experiences, or writing messages to their loved ones, which can be placed on the altar.
Light refreshments such as herbal tea and cookies will be offered to ground participants back into their bodies.
