HEALING HOPE documentary screening + panel discussion

Overview: Recent studies have shown the effectiveness of psychedelics in treating various mental disorders.While these therapies remain illegal in most of the world, the availability of these substances and methods for their use have led some desperate patients to seek out treatment through underground means. Healing Hope focuses on the underground medical use of MDMA, which has shown promise in curing the notoriously hard-to-treat PTSD.

Director Elio Cassaghi grew up between France and Italy. With a high school diploma in film and audiovisual studies, Elio asserted his passion early on. Continuing to develop his self-taught skills in writing, VFX, and visual arts, he further professionalized himself by joining the École Supérieure d'Études Cinématographiques (ESEC) in Paris.
From 2022 to 2024, he self-produced his first project: the documentary Healing Hope exploring the topic of underground psychedelic therapy.
