We are excited to present a six-week therapeutic program designed for adults focused on addressing your mental health requirements. This initiative is specifically created for those experiencing anxiety, stress, or depression symptoms. Each week, participants will meet in the serene and beautiful setting of Susanna Farms. Activities will involve interaction with animals, each tailored to meet your specific treatment objectives. These therapeutic activities promote personal awareness, examine relationships and boundaries, foster mindfulness, encourage positive self-care practices, along with a variety of other skills. Each session offers dedicated time with the animals, as well as group discussions to reflect on your aspirations and experiences.

Equine-assisted activities will be facilitated by Laura Heffernan, the owner of the farm and a certified therapeutic riding instructor (CTRI). If you have visited the farm, you may have encountered Laura, a lifelong horse enthusiast, educator, and skilled leader of empowering equine-assisted therapy sessions. Group therapy will be conducted by Sari Glazebrook, a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with a private practice that focuses on trauma treatment, utilizing an array of holistic healing strategies. Sari believes strongly in the inner capacity for healing and emphasizes that crafting the life you desire necessitates bravery, openness, and a profound commitment to personal growth and discovery.

In addition to her professional role, Sari is a devoted partner, proud mother of two young adults, stepmother to wonderful adult children, and a grandmother to three beloved grandchildren. She enjoys being outdoors, is currently learning to ride horses, and has a strong passion for health and wellness. You will immediately sense her warmth, dedication, and commitment upon meeting her!

Cost is $200 for six sessions. Meetings are scheduled for Thursdays from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on September 18, 25, October 2, 9, 16, and 23.
