Heal the Ville/ YDIG & CCS: Building Futures. Changing the Narrative.

Breaking Recidivism, Changing the Narrative is a community‑driven initiative led by Heal the Ville/YDIG in partnership with the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department. This event is designed to support individuals impacted by incarceration, probation, parole, or legal involvement by connecting them to real opportunities that promote stability and long‑term success. The focus is on removing barriers and replacing them with access to trades, certifications, education, employment pathways, and supportive services. By bringing together employers, training programs, and community partners, the event aims to break cycles, restore hope, and create sustainable change. Participants will gain tools, resources, and connections that help them rebuild their lives with confidence. At its core, this event is a call to action, empowering individuals, strengthening families, and uplifting communities by changing the narrative one life at a time.
