Mark your calendars for a morning of family fun, hands-on learning, and community building! On Saturday, August 1, 2026, the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office is teaming up with The Home Depot in Spring Hill to host the annual Public Safety Day under the banner of "A Stronger Community. Together."
From 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the parking lot at 4765 Commercial Way will transform into an interactive safety hub designed for residents of all ages.
What to Expect
Whether you're looking to meet local law enforcement heroes, explore specialized safety gear, or enjoy exciting giveaways, there's something for everyone:
🚴 Interactive Bike Rodeo: Kids can bring their bicycles and put their riding skills to the test on a fun obstacle course! (Please note: Bike helmets are required to participate).
🐕 Action-Packed K-9 Demonstrations: Watch Hernando County’s highly trained K-9 units demonstrate their agility, obedience, and tactical skills.
🛡️ Meet the SWAT Team & Explore Vehicles: Get an up-close look at tactical SWAT vehicles, patrol cruisers, and specialized equipment used to keep our neighborhood safe.
🎁 Prizes & Giveaways: Enter to win exciting community giveaways and prizes throughout the morning.
