All evaluations (exam, screening echocardiogram with report provided) will be performed by board-certified veterinary cardiologist Dr. Sarah Bell DVM MS, Diplomate, ACVIM (Cardiology)
WHAT:
This clinic is open to any breeding cat as well as non-breeding cats who are at risk of developing hypertrophic cardiomyopathy
(HCM).
This clinic is NOT open to cats previously diagnosed with cardiac disease (congenital or acquired) or those on cardiac medications.
This clinic is NOT for anesthesia clearance
If your cat is diagnosed with heart disease during the clinic, it is recommended that a follow-up appointment be made with a cardiologist for complete cardiac evaluation and treatment. A treatment plan will not be provided at the clinic.
Must be at least 12 months old
No nursing or expectant mothers (heart changes during this time and can make false positives)

DATE: Sunday, October 20th
The clinic will begin at 9:30 am with 10-minute appointments per cat. The appointments will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.
A minimum of 10 cats will be required for the clinic to be held, and a maximum of 40 cats will be allowed.
WHERE:
While the HCM clinic is not affiliated with CVCA, Cardiac Care for Pets, we will be utilizing their equipment and office space.

Because cats are awesome! We love them! And, we need to keep them healthy so they are with us for a very long time!
HOW TO REGISTER:
Payment
Cost: $225 per cat
Cash and checks will not be accepted. No, we cannot take payment over the phone. A non-refundable electronic payment is required in full prior to the clinic to confirm your registration. Once payment is received, we will email you a confirmation email with your clinic appointment time.

Cat name, breed, date of birth, and sex (male/female, intact/neutered/spayed)
Is the cat to be used in a breeding program or has it already been used?
Has the cat been evaluated at our previous HCM clinics in Louisville?
If your cat is recommended to have Gabapentin or other sedative for vet visit. This is OK! We actually prefer it! Can get a prescription at a primary care doctor’s office. We cannot prescribe
PLEASE NOTE: If your cat requires sedation at the clinic you will have to reschedule for during the week and the price will change.
EXPECTATIONS:
To increase efficiency, curbside service will be utilized for the clinic. We understand it can be worrisome to be away from your beloved cat. For those who have participated in the clinic before, you know that we treat each cat like our own with lots of TLC while safely restraining them for evaluation. For those who have not participated in our clinics before, please rest assured we remain dedicated to the safety and welfare of your cat at all times while it is in our care.
Prior to arrival:
Please have each cat in its own carrier that is labeled with his/her name. If there is any information you would like to share with us, please have it written down and attached to the carrier.

When it is your slot time, please email when you are here to the [email protected] with the following: (Note: phones do not notify us with incoming calls during weekend hours)
Parking spot number (please park closest to the door as you can, carriers get heavy)
Make, model and color of vehicle
Name and how many cats you have
One of our team members will meet you and bring your cat inside for evaluation.
Once complete, your cat will be returned to you with an email and a cardiac report later in the day.
PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING WILL GET YOU BANNED FROM ALL FUTURE HCM CLINIC:
Any offensive behavior toward our team members or Doctor
Substitution or add-ons after clinic registration is closed or on the day of clinic
No show for the time slot without contacting the clinic coordinator
