HCD's 2026 Tribal Finance Workshop
About this Event
The 4th annual Tribal Finance Workshop is a multi-day event dedicated to exploring the world of Tribal affordable housing finance and community development opportunities. This hybrid online/in-person workshop will take place on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 (half-day, afternoon only), Thursday, September 10 (all day), and Friday, September 11, 2026 (half-day, morning only), at the May Lee State Office Complex at 651 Bannon St, Sacramento.
This registration is for in-person attendance. If you would like to attend remotely, please register on Zoom HERE. If you plan to attend the full workshop, please register for all three days. The agenda is forthcoming and we will notify all attendees when it is finalized.
During this workshop, you will have the opportunity to learn about various affordable housing finance options and related services from HCD and other state agencies available to Tribes and Tribally Designated Housing Entities (TDHEs), as well as strategies for securing funding, and how to navigate the complex financial landscape. State, federal and industry subject matter experts will share their experiences and insights, offering valuable knowledge and practical advice aimed at supporting Tribal communities, including infrastructure and supportive services.
If you are a California Tribe or TDHE in need of affordable housing for your Tribal members, this workshop is designed to provide you with the information and resources you need to make informed decisions. Come and network with fellow attendees, engage in interactive discussions, and gain a deeper understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in affordable housing finance and community development.
