Mark your calendars for our district’s HBCU Night and College Fair! This event will prove to be your students’ one-stop shop for learning about or even choosing the post-secondary option that's right for them. Doors open at 5 p.m., with the event being held from 5:30 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at Appoquinimink High School. The event contains two parts — first up is the HBCU Night from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. There will be HBCU Reps and Alumni, Black Greek Letter Organizations, and on-the-spot admission decisions from some colleges. Then, from 6:30 to 8 p.m., there will be more than 70 colleges and universities in attendance, along with the Department of Labor, trade schools, military recruiters, and more. Open to all students in grades 8-12, this event will have plenty of post-secondary opportunities for all students. We’ll see you there!PLEASE NOTE: To be considered for on-the-spot admissions, seniors must apply online to the college at least 48 hours before the event and bring their transcripts (unofficial are acceptable) to the event.
