Hazlehurst Book Club - July Meeting - 1 Year Anniversary Celebration!
About this Event
Welcome to the Hazlehurst Book Club!
Come join us for lively discussions, good company, and of course, great books.
Our book club meets at Hazlehurst Studios, a cozy spot perfect for diving into our latest read.
Whether you're a bookworm or just looking to explore new genres, our club is open to all. Share your thoughts, hear different perspectives, and make new friends who share your love for reading.
This meeting will mark our one year anniversary so expect a celebratory air, reflection on 12 months of reading and possibly prizes!
The book we will be discussing in this month's meeting will be Maurice by E.M. Forster.
"Maurice by E.M. Forster is a groundbreaking, intimate novel of a young man's sexual and political self-discovery. Written in 1914 but withheld from publication during Forster's lifetime, it follows Maurice Hall as he navigates his homosexuality in a repressive, Edwardian British society."
Tickets are free to book but entry fee of £3 is to be paid on arrival by cash or card to help with room hire, tea, coffee and biscuit costs!
