Join the Hayward Coffee Hop for a fun day sipping local brews and meeting fellow coffee lovers!
Stroll through three of downtown Hayward's coffee shops and a bookstore, enjoying poetry as you sip! Local culture, business, and flavor.
The Hayward Lit Hop's bringing back the Hayward Coffee Hop, at 3 pm on Saturday, August 15th!
The Coffee Hop is like a pub crawl through some of downtown Hayward's coffee shops. We'll begin at 3 pm at Concha Dreams (inside Dirty Bird), wander over to Cafe con Azucar (1099 B Street) at 3:40, then visit the Old City Roastery on Foothill at 4:20 pm, then finish up with quick poetry readings at Books on B at 5 pm. We'll have one or two brief literary readings at each venue and expect to stay at each place for about 40 minutes. You're encouraged to stay at Books on B for their monthly third-Saturday open mic from 5pm to7pm.
For a ticket price of $15, you'll get sample-size coffee at each coffee venue and can enjoy Hayward's culture while sipping! The cash is simply to cover the cost of the coffee and will go to the participating coffee shops.
