Wimberley Lions Quarterly Forum: Hays County Public Parks & Sentinel Peak Preserveđź“… May 5, 2025
🕕 6:00–7:00 PM
📍 Wimberley Community Center
Join the Wimberley Lions Club for our quarterly community forum as we spotlight the future of public parks in Hays County—inclduing an exciting preview of the upcoming Sentinel Peak Preserve, set to open in 2027.
This remarkable 530-acre property, formerly known as El Rancho Cima Boy Scout Camp, is being transformed into a one-of-a-kind public space. The preserve will offer over a mile of Blanco River access—the only public access to the Blanco River in all of Hays County—along with protected natural habitats, including land designated by the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service as golden-cheeked warbler habitat.
Our featured speaker, Katherine Sturdivant, Parks Education Coordinator with Hays County Parks & Natural Resources, will share insights into the park’s history, conservation efforts, and what the community can expect when it opens.
Whether you’re passionate about conservation, outdoor recreation, or simply want to learn more about this incredible new asset for our area, we invite you to join us for this informative and engaging hour.
All are welcome—bring a friend!
