Haymarket Martyrs Monument & Radical Row Tour

Join the Historical Society of Forest Park for an engaging, hour-long walking tour of the Haymarket Martyrs Monument and Radical Row at Forest Home Cemetery. During this tour, you’ll learn about the events of the Haymarket Affair, the monument, and the lives of those who chose to be buried nearby in connection with the 8-hour workday and labor movement.

If you would like to know about everyone buried in Radical Row, add a copy of The Day Will Come, 3rd edition to your ticket. If you want to learn more about the cemetery as a whole, add on a copy of More Dead Than Alive: Forest Park’s Quietest Neighbors to your ticket.

Forest Home Cemetery is an active cemetery. To keep the roads clear, visitors are encouraged to park at the cemetery office located behind the Des Plaines Avenue entrance. The tour includes walking on somewhat uneven grassy areas, but the distance is short and manageable for most participants. Please let us know if you have any accessibility needs.
