Während seiner langen Karriere hat Hisaishi an Musik für Filme, Anime, Computerspiele, Fernsehen und Werbung gearbeitet. Ein weiteres Highlight seiner Karriere war die musikalische Gestaltung der Paralympischen Spiele 1998 in Nagano. Hisaishis bekannteste Werke sind unter anderem in den Kultfilmen von Takeshi Kitano und in den Animes von Hayao Miyazaki zu hören.

Besonders die genialen Schöpfer Hisaishi und Miyazaki harmonieren perfekt miteinander. Es bleibt ein Rätsel, ob Miyazakis Filme erst durch Hisaishis Musik oder Hisaishis Musik durch Miyazakis Filme zur Genialität gelangten.

Joe Hisaishi ist einer der berühmtesten japanischen Komponisten. Sein erstes Album, „Information“, veröffentlichte er 1982. Ein Jahr später empfahl Isao Takahata dem noch jungen Komponisten Hisaishi, das Begleitalbum zu Hayao Miyazakis Manga „Nausicaä aus dem Tal der Winde“ zu schreiben. Miyazaki war von Hisaishis Arbeit so begeistert, dass er ihn einlud, die Musik für seinen Film zu komponieren. Hisaishis Arbeit an „Nausicaä“ machte ihn berühmt. Aus Dankbarkeit arbeitete er an allen nachfolgenden Filmen Miyazakis mit.

Hisaishi erhielt eine Rekordzahl von Preisen (vier) der Japanese Film Academy in der Kategorie „Beste Filmmusik“. Drei dieser Auszeichnungen wurden ihm für die Musik in Takeshi Kitanos Filmen verliehen: „Sonatine“ (1993), „The Boys Are Back“ (1996) und „Fireworks“ (1997). Darüber hinaus komponierte er die Soundtracks für Kitanos Filme „Scenes by the Sea“ (1992), „Kikujiro“ (1999), „Brother of the Yakuza“ (2001), „Dolls“ (2002) und „Yamato“ (2005).

Gegründet im Jahr 2021, hat unser Studio für zeitgenössische Musik ein rasantes Wachstum erlebt und bereits im ersten Jahr über 40 Shows im Vereinigten Königreich aufgeführt. Unser Gründer, Almin Alexander, hat mehr als 12 Jahre seines Lebens der Musikindustrie und der Entwicklung kultureller Initiativen weltweit gewidmet und mit vielen herausragenden Musikern und Musikgruppen zusammengearbeitet.

Das Repertoire des Ensembles umfasst eine unglaubliche Vielfalt an Musik. Zu den Programmen, die unser Publikum besonders liebt, gehören Tribute-Konzerte großer Komponisten wie Ludovico Einaudi, Hans Zimmer, John Williams, Ólafur Arnalds, Joe Hisaishi sowie der Minimalisten John Cage und David Lang. ✨ А unique concert on July 17th will take place at 8.00 pm in the incredibly atmospheric Paulanerkirche in Vienna. “Howl’s Moving Castle”, “Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind”, “Spirited Away”, and “My Neighbor Totoro” - you will hear fantastically charming soundtracks from world-famous anime by the greatest modern Japanese composer, Jo Hisaishi. Plunge into the world of fantastic music in the heartfelt, most colourful performance of the contemporary orchestra Mystery Ensemble. Delight for the whole family is guaranteed.

Throughout his long career, Hisaishi has worked extensively on music for film, anime, computer games, television and advertising. He also created the music for the 1998 Paralympic Games in Nagano. Hisaishi's most famous works are for the cult films of Takeshi Kitano and, of course, for the anime of Hayao Miyazaki.

Hisaishi and Miyazaki are a union of equal brilliant creators. You will never understand for sure: Miyazaki's films became brilliant thanks to Hisaishi's music or Hisaishi's music became brilliant thanks to Miyazaki's films.

An unusually beautiful concert in the atmospheric interiors of Paulanerkirche on a cozy summer evening!

Jo Hisaishi is one of the most famous Japanese composers. He released his first album 'Information' in 1982. In 1983, Isao Takahata recommended the young composer Hayao Miyazaki to write the accompanying album for the manga Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind. Miyazaki liked Hisaishi's work so much that he invited him to write music for the film Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind. Hisaishi's work on Nausicaa made him famous. In gratitude, he worked on all of Miyazaki's subsequent films.

Hisaishi received a record number of times (four) Japanese Film Academy Awards in the category “Best Film Music”. Three of them are awards for music for Takeshi Kitano’s films: “Sonatine” (1993), “The Boys Are Back” (1996), “Fireworks” (1997). He also composed the soundtracks for Kitano's films Scenes by the Sea (1992), Kikujiro (1999), Brother of the Yakuza (2001), Dolls (2002) and Yamato (2005).

Founded in 2021, our studio of contemporary music has grown rapidly, with over 40 shows in the UK in its first year of performing. Our founder, Almin Alexander, has devoted more than 12 years of his life to the music industry and the development of cultural initiatives around the world, working with many outstanding musicians and musical groups. 

The ensemble’s repertoire contains an incredible amount of music.
