Hawkers Creek Guided Walk

Before there was bitumen streets and shopping centres, our neighbourhoods included creeks and wetlands. Kaurna people lived in these beautiful ecologies for millennia before so many were lost.
On this walk, we will explore the social, cultural and ecological history of the now disappeared Hawkers Creek. Along the way, we will explore the relational factors that run hidden underneath our everyday awareness of place and history.
This walk is part of a City of Port Adelaide Enfield placemaking project, which includes a guided soundwalk tracing the course of the creek through Glanville.
