Jules Bertrand Nouyadjam is a dance teacher, performer, choreographer and DJ!
Jules is originally from Cameroon, Africa and has been living in Montreal, Canada since the age of 10. He has been a passionate dancer for over 20 years, exploring everything from African dance, salsa, afro-cuban, bachata, cha cha, samba and hip hop. He is inspired by connection, fusion and body isolation.
In 2010, after falling in love with Brazilian zouk and kizomba, Jules opened the Interfusion Danse Company with the goal to spread the passion for this two dances with the organisation of festival (GYZO), dance classes and party. Jules has spent time living in Brazil to fully immerse himself in the culture, language and various styles of Brazilian zouk.
Jules travelled to Portugal and Paris to take part in a comprehensive Kizomba and Semba teacher training, also in Angola to further his knowledge in the traditional source of these dances.
Today, Jules have set a new goal to create a Kizouk World community with is concept of D.A.T life (Dance Adventure Travel). Kizouk : a connection of kizomba and brazilian zouk dance build from basic concept and foundation of both dances.
Jules has been teaching, performing and djing in salsa, bachata, zouk, kizomba and afro events in Canada, USA, Europe, Brazil and Asia!
BIO Soraya is a Moroccan dancer and choreographer based in Canada since 2015! In 2012, she decided to give up her career in law, take her backpack to combine her 2 passions which are dancing and traveling to explore different cultures… and also taking her dance to a professional level through workshops and performances, she then grew her dance knowledge with internationally renowned artists. She developed her style through years of formation in different dance types. She likes to merge dances and enhance her style by fusioning (belly dance, kizomba, afro, rumba, salsa, bachata, zouk, flamenco, reggaeton, brazilian samba…) She had the opportunity to produce on various stages since 2015 ( Africa, Asia, Europe, America...) and in various contexts of shows, workshops, animations, dance festivals…) According to her, the musicality is the basis of the dance : Moving the body without being connected to the music is a body in motion, it can be beautiful... but moving the body while interpreting the music and becoming an instrument of the music is dancing... and is the magic tool of being a good dancer.
