HAWAI'I TAG RUGBY X FESTIVAL

Gather your family and friends to create a team for this exciting event! You'll have a chance to win some awesome prizes, all in a stunning setting at the base of Diamond Head, directly across from Waikiki Beach.

Alongside the TagX event, our hosts, the Hawai'i Harlequins Rugby, have organized a fantastic venue for our launch party, featuring some amazing raffle prizes. Don't forget to lace up your hiking boots and conquer Koko Head for a chance to win prizes for both yourself and your team in the Koko Head Challenge.

EVENT INFORMATION

This event utilizes the rules and start of the art platform powered by TagX International.

Koko Head Challenge:

• Monday 5th May 2025

TagX - Event 1 :

• Tuesday 6th May 2025

Rest Day:

• 7th May 2025

TagX - Event 2

• Thursday 8th May 2025

Each event is made up of 6 x 24 minute games with 7 teams in each division.

Cost Per Event:

• $65USD per player per event

Divisions:

• Open Mixed
• Open Mens

To qualify as a Open mixed team there must be at least 2 Females registered within the team and both must start each game.

Number of Players per Team:

Each team is permitted to have a maximum of 10 players for each event, with a minimum requirement of 7 players.

Please be advised that teams with fewer than 10 players will be required to pay the equivalent fees for 10 players.

Expressions of Interest:

EOI are now being taken for next years event and will close on the 1st December 2024

Please be aware that registering your interest does not assure your team's participation in the event. However, priority will be given to teams that register early, as we have a limited capacity of only 14 teams for this event.

TagX International Rules will be in effect, accompanied by our unique scoring methodology. We will utilize a 6 defensive versus 7 attacking playing format, which is recognized globally, fostering incredible scoring opportunities and encouraging creative gameplay.

A Salary Cap will be in place for each event. Every player will start with a player value of $4,000, however after your first event (6 games) this will change based on player performance and rating from the opposition and Officials after each game.

Note: If you decide to bring a super strong team to this fun festival you may risk losing a marquee player ($10,000) for the next event as you can only retain 2 marquee players within your Salary cap.

Player & Team Prizes up for grabs

$800 prize pool for players

• First Place - $300
• Second Place - $200
• Third Place - $100

Remaining $200 funds will be distrubuted randomly between placegetters for each event.

Festival Merchandise will be awarded to teams for each divison within the event.

Raffle Prizes will also be on offer for all particpating players throughout each event.

Koko Head Challenge will also have prizes for particpating players & teams. See information below for prizes

BONUS PRIZES

Participation in both events at the festival will qualify you for the June $3,000 USD prize pool draw, which is available to players worldwide six times a year.

The iconic KOKO HEAD trail is an essential experience for anyone who enjoys breathtaking views and a good hike. While it can be challenging, the stunning scenery and unforgettable memories make it worthwhile!

The trail features over 1,000 railway ties that ascend directly up the Koko Head Crater— and we mean directly up. Our TagX International team will be present both at the start and finish of the hike to record your times.

Merchandise prizes are on offer for the top three finishers, for both men and women, as well as rewards for the team with the highest number of participants. It's just a quick 25-minute drive from Waikiki, featuring great parking and easy access to the trail. Looking forward to seeing you at the Top!

Playing Uniform:

Official TAG Playing shorts must be worn throughout the tournament. If you have TAG shorts from your local venue/module no problem these can be worn.

• Branded TAG festival shorts can be purchased at the event.
• Note: No Tag belts will be available at this event.

Playing Shirts: Players must be wearing matching numbered shirts You can wear whatever uniform design you like, it could be your uniform from your local TAG venue.

Custom gear: You may like to go a fancy design for the trip, we can help you out here just email us with any ideas you may have or we can come up with a cool design for you.Send an email at [email protected] if you would like some custom gear made for the event.
