Hawaii Diaper Bank Drive at participating KTA stores. Drop-off locations include KTA Kona and Hilo. The event is manned by the 🦁’s clubs on the Big Island. The diaper bank was started by Jessica Histo, a nurse who had a baby and had leftover diapers. She collected all her unused diapers and those of her friends and family and started sharing them with families in need. Today, the diaper bank gives out diapers to 600 kids or approximately 30,000 diapers a month for free. Jessica no longer works as a nurse but has devoted herself to helping the diaper bank full-time as the need is so great.
