“I have always viewed painting as a form of world-building. This collection weaves together folklore, fantasy, and the complexities of the human experience, using dreamlike landscapes and symbolic figures to capture moments of tension and balance.
My process begins in disorder, drawing on a background in scenic art and traditional textures to build heavily distressed backgrounds. Through layers of airbrush, fine detail, and gold leaf, a refined narrative slowly emerges from the mess. By framing striking female figures alongside wildlife on the brink of survival, the work explores a powerful contrast of elegance, resilience, and protection.
Rather than offering a rigid explanation, these pieces are meant to feel like a glimpse into a living mythology. You are invited to get lost in the layers of color and detail, and to bring your own perspective to the story.
