At our library...we've got some KILLER books to checkout.For two nights we will transform the entire library into a terrifying haunted house, and the stacks become a dark lair of monsters, frights, and spirits!
Haunted Library will be held on October 17 and October 18 from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM.
For set up purposes, we will be CLOSED on these days.
Regular library services and facility use will be unavailable at this time.
Please note that the library will also be closed all day on October 16 for additional set up time.
Curbside Library Pickup will be available from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM on October 16 & 17 only.
The outside drops will remain open for returns.
Admission:
• $5.00 per person (all ages)
Admission cost will be considered a donation to the Friends, and will be used to aid future library programs and purchase new Library books!
• Prior to the event, a limited amounts of pre-sale tickets will be available for purchase online only (Link coming soon).
• Regular admission tickets will also be sold in the line outside on the days of the event.
• We will not sell tickets on October 16 due to library closure for event setup.
• The library will be closed for services on October 17 & 18, and tickets will not be available for purchase ahead of scheduled event time.
• Those who purchase pre-sale tickets prior to October 16 will receive line priority and may enter the Haunted Library via a separate line before those who did not purchase a ticket ahead of time.
• Due to potentially large crowds, patrons should arrive by 7:00 PM to guarantee entry into the Haunted Library.
• No refunds for tickets under any circumstances as this is a fundraiser for the Friends of the Longview Public Library.
Volunteering:
We need ghouls, ghosts, gremlins, and more!
Volunteers primarily help scare our patrons in our many different scare zones, help with makeup, or do some event setup.
You MUST be signed up as a volunteer, and attend one orientation date prior to the event dates in order to participate.
Plan to attend at least one of these dates:
• September 24 from 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM.
• September 27 from 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM.
• October 1 from 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM.
• October 4 from 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM.
