HATS Professional of the Year (POY) Awards

The Huntsville Association of Technical Societies (HATS) has supported the Huntsville community for over 56 years and is proud to host the 21st Annual Professional of the Year Awards Celebration. These annual awards provide an opportunity for member societies to recognize publicly the exceptional professionalism and achievements of two of their members by selecting them for their Professional of the Year (POY) award and the Young Professional of the Year (YPOY) award.
Every society's POY and YPOY will be recognized at this event and will receive a plaque to commemorate the award. A HATS Selection Board will select one society professional from these society awards in each of the two categories to be the HATS POY and YPOY for the year.
The Joseph P. Moquin Award is given to the HATS Professional of the Year.
The Bill Roark Award is given to the HATS Young Professional of the Year.
Each member society also submits a nomination for the HATS Society of the Year (SOY) award. A HATS committee selects one of these nominations for the award.
Each society submits their POY and YPOY for the year as their nominations for the HATS awards. All nominations must be submitted by Friday, 21 August 2026, through our online nomination system. Use the buttons below to submit your nominations or visit our website.
